Okka Kshanam

Image
A few of my recent posts had been regarding the movies I saw and topics based on it. This one is going to be quite similar, and it’s about another Telugu film, titled ‘Okka Kshanam’. It’s a science fiction film, based on parallel life concept, and the movie was quite popular in the year of 2017. The most captivating part of the movie was the story, which had a strong base. It was so well explained and shown in a very simple way, without any complications.  As said earlier, it’s based on parallel life concept, and for those who don’t know what it is, it’s an alternate universe to the one we’re living in, and the most popular example of this phenomenon is of Abraham Lincoln and John F Kennedy, where they experience very similar happenings, but years apart. There are many such examples which seem too similar to be true, but is. And here, it’s the story of two couples with the same story, and one of their present, would be the other’s past. It also means that the future of one of the c...

Organic Farming 🌱

Recently, I had watched a Telugu movie named Bheeshma, starring Nithiin and Rashmika. The reason I started with this topic, is due to the base of it. A lot about about the topic of organic farming has been talked about in the movie, which developed interest in me.  It led me into a lot of other searches regarding the same. I don’t really believe in ‘pure and healthy food’, after movies like Velaikkaran and Aruvam. I know that might sound silly, but these are definitely few of the movies which could change perspectives. The idea of coming up with such films with social messages, is in itself something to be really appreciated.  And that’s why I’ve decided to share a few things I’ve known regarding the topic, ‘Organic farming’. Organic farming system in India is not new and is being followed from ancient time. It is a method of farming system which aims at cultivating the land and raising crops in such a way, as to keep the soil alive and in good health by use of organic waste...

V - The Movie

Image
‘V’ is a Telugu action-thriller film, starring Nani and Sudheer Babu in lead roles, alongside Aditi Rao and Nivetha Thomas. It has been one of the most anticipated movies to be released on an OTT platform. The speciality of this film is that this would be the first time ‘Natural Star’ Nani would be seen as an antagonist. Sudheer Babu plays the role of a police cop. The storyline is quite interesting, as Nani has been portrayed as a serial killer during the beginning. Each frame of every scene seems so perfect, it will really make you feel that it would have been the best in theatres. The action scenes of the film were so meticulously shot, with the appropriate ‘amount’ of music, I would say. It’s not exactly a revenge story, it’s a crime thriller. It revolves around Vishnu (Nani) having a long lost connection with Aditya’s past (Sudheer Babu). This movie was planned to be released in theatres on 25 March, on the occasion of Ugadi, but due to the pandemic, it was postponed. It ha...

'I'll Walk Alone..'

'I'll Walk Alone' is a thriller book written by Mary Higgins Clark, and has recently become one of my favourites and also one of the best booksa I have ever read. It's about a woman named Alexandra Moreland, whose son Matthew was kidnapped from the Central Park at the age of two. Three years later, on Matthew's fifth birthday, photos of Alexandra kidnapping her own child. Her bank accounts have been drained, and she begins to suspect that someone is trying to steal her identity. This one’s definitely a must-read..

Board Results

The class 10 board results were supposed to come out today by 10 AM, but it got delayed, as the site kept on getting crashed. I got my results through an sms. I cannot exactly express how excited or nervous I was to face the results and all the calls I would get. So exactly at 12, I tried to open the site, but some or the other error kept occurring. i got 447/500, and Sakshi got 448/500. PJ got the message a bit late, and she got 446/500. What a coincidence, isn't it? I got a lot of calls today from all our relatives and friends. There was also a surprise party today, which was totally unexpected. Well, surprises are meant to be unexpected.A cake was cut which said "Congrats Paru", along with Dominoes and puffs. I'm not really satisfied with my marks, but whatever's done is done. I should better luck next time!

My Journey through Art..

During this “lockdown”, I’m glad to say that I’ve developed a new habit of drawing everyday. Well, I haven’t been able to complete all my sketches though, but that itself has taught me something- The quality of the art doesn’t matter, the quantity does. The first thing to focus on while drawing is the amount of time you take to finish a piece, with respect to its size. Quality comes next. The way you portray your piece, whether you shade, colour, ink or sketch it. One more thing I have acquainted myself with is the amount of patience through this period. I have tried shading, dotted art and sketching, and so far, I really think I’ve been getting better bit by bit. The art of drawing is something that I had started during the beginning of class 10, and the progress in this one year is clearly visible. I still remember the day when I was drawing in my class during break time, and one of my friends just passed by, took a glance into my book and walked away calling me an ‘artist’. And d...

Boards over!!!

My board exams for class 10 were finally over on the 18th of March... and it’s such a relief. No more studying for at least the next week(Thankfully)! But I have to attend an entrance examination on this 24th, which might probably be postponed due to the Covid-19. Tomorrow is the Janata Curfew, and all the supermarkets are almost empty. The roads of many cities are clear and there is no one to be seen around. The term ‘quarantine’ has been so common in recent days too. Most of the people in India affected with Corona are foreigners. There are 107 cases in India at present, and 31 in Maharashtra itself, and 11,000 deaths worldwide, due to the deadly disease. There are a lot of precautions taken regarding this issue. Safety measures are being spread everywhere. That’s all I know about the Covid-19 issue as of now.... As my exams are over, I’ve been continuously watching movies, mostly Telugu, and I’ve finished watching all the movies of Sundeep Kishan, Sudheer Babu, Raj Tarun and quit...
